Title: Plan and Timing for broadband installation in New Marlborough
Date: August 15, 2020

Steve, here is the overview of our Construction plan for New Marlborough, please feel free to reach out to me with any questions.

Tom Doherty from BAS (charter installation contractor) will send out the work locations for the week every Monday. The work locations and number of crews will be adjusted as needed to make our commitment to the town and meet business needs.
We have started working on the underground sections of town and would like to have the conduit pathways completed before winter.
Aerial work has begun on the feed into town. At first we will concentrate on the Main roads in town and then branch off to the side roads.
Fiber Splicers will be following our Construction crews after the fiber has been placed.
Once all of the fiber has been placed and spliced we will move into the testing phase.
We expect this work to take between 9 and 10 months to complete. Once the final testing is complete and we are ready to launch, Technical Operations and the Sales group will work with the town as we release the addresses for installation.
As our contractors work to build the network you will see Tom Tobia and John Decker from our Construction department around town. They will be performing quality checks on the build as it progresses to ensure a smooth process.
Tom and John will also be working with the 4% this fall on possible solutions.

Tom and John will also be identifying any homes that may require a nonstandard installation fee and should be able to provide town with a list of homes by the end of September that will need to be looked at further. They can then start to work with those homeowners that are interested on possible solutions.

Thank you
